View public followers and following, then track changes over time to spot newly observed follows and unfollows.
Open the current public follower and following information available through the Instagram viewer.
Family Orbit can view public profile data without requiring a login to the target account.
When monitoring is enabled, saved snapshots can be compared to detect observed changes.
Public profiles can be checked, while private accounts require visibility and cannot be bypassed.
Current list order reflects the API response and may not be a guaranteed chronological history.
Family Orbit can retrieve the currently available follower and following lists for public profiles. The order shown is whatever Instagram or the data source returns at that moment. That list should not be presented as an exact chronological timeline. For exact “new since last check” detection, saved snapshots are required.
Fetch the currently available public follower and following data for the profile.
Available with profile monitoring where supported: save a snapshot of the account’s observed follower and following state.
Detect newly observed additions or removals compared with the saved baseline. This is only meaningful when monitoring is actually configured and running.

Instagram does not expose a perfect public timestamped follow history. List order can change, pagination may limit what is fetched, and large accounts are harder to compare completely. Rate limits, temporary API failures, and metadata delays can create gaps. Renamed or deactivated accounts may appear to change without a true follow event. Tracking begins from the first successful saved snapshot, and results should be treated as observed changes rather than forensic proof.

Accounts currently returned in the following list for a public account.
Neither list is guaranteed to be perfectly ordered by newest activity. See the anonymous Instagram follower viewer article for more detail on the available viewer behavior.
Public profiles can be viewed. Private profiles cannot be unlocked, and no legitimate tool can bypass private-account restrictions. Profile visibility may change at any time, so the available public data may vary.
Follower counts are updated separately from list fetches. Cached API responses, deleted or deactivated users, blocked or restricted accounts, pagination limits, rate limiting, and temporary Instagram changes can all cause counts and list contents to differ from one check to the next.
Save a public profile and let Family Orbit compare future checks so you do not have to manually inspect follower and following lists. When monitoring is enabled, observed changes can be reported between successful saved snapshots.
